2026-Make it Pretty: As we hunker down for the next few months, this is always a time to reflect on the last year and dream about what the new one holds. We’re strolling the gardens in our minds, sorting through possibilities, and planning next year’s offerings. Some lovely new plants will be arriving in the shop early season, and we’re plotting out which plants and seeds will join our color stories this year. Come by and talk about your garden and forget how cold it is outside!
Winter in the Glasshouse: When frost settles in and the wind picks up, you’ll find us in the glasshouse. It’s warm, and the light is perfect. We’re hosting small workshops all winter. Make something with your hands that means something.

Garden Planning Sessions
January 10 & 17| 12-2pm | Free
We’re hosting a few informal gatherings in the Glasshouse where we’ll walk through how to think about your space—what you want it to feel like, what actually grows well here in the Hudson Valley, and how to plan around our color stories. Bring your questions, your rough measurements, photos, or just your ideas. We’ll help you figure out where to start.
These sessions are free and low-key. Coffee will be on, the Glasshouse will be warm, and you’ll leave with a clearer sense of what’s possible come spring. And you get to pretend for a few hours that it’s not the dead of winter. Green is good!

Macro Photography Class
January 24 | 12-2pm | $45
Get up in there!
In this class we get up close and personal with what’s left in the garden. You’ll want a camera for this one ideally, but we’ll cover phone photography too.
Learn about close-up focusing, depth of field, patterns in nature and how to use light. This class will sharpen your eye for detail and help you notice things you’ve been walking past all season.
Perfect follow-up to Garden Photography Basics—or jump right in if you’re ready to get really close.

Seed Edit Session
February 14 | 12-2pm | Free
Not all seeds are worth your time. We’ve spent years figuring out what actually thrives here in the Hudson Valley—what blooms reliably, what the deer ignore, and what looks good in real life, not just in a catalog.
Bring your garden goals (hopefully you attended the earlier planning sessions and you’re armed with your plan), and we’ll help you choose seeds that make sense for your space, your soil, and your style. Whether you’re drawn to wild and loose or structured and refined, we’ll match you with flowers that’ll actually deliver come summer.
This is free, it’s hands-on, and you’ll leave with seeds selected specifically for you. If you like, we’ll help you pot them up and babysit them over the winter — you can come grab them when they’re ready to go outside in late spring. We’ll have coffee and tea along with some snacks. The Glasshouse is warm, and you get a head start on spring.

Welcome to Spring Bulbs
Join Us Saturday 2/21 & 2/28 | 12-2p | $45 (includes a bouquet or vase arrangement if you bring a vase)
We can’t lie, we love bulbs! The first flush of color for the season brings so much joy and hope for what’s around the corner. You’ll learn about the different types of spring bulbs and tulip varieties. We’ll show you how to create a rolling wave of flowers throughout spring, and how to arrange colors so they look great together.
